    The library offers a variety of places to learn and spend time. The university's Learning Spaces portal helps you to quickly find a suitable space for various needs in the library or on campus.

Individual Study Zones

At each of the PC workstations in the library, you can:

  • use the library's full range of electronic services (Catalogue.plus!, databases, e-journals, e-books) without a personal login
  • save files on USB flash drive
  • log in as a university member with your BITS account (click on the "person" icon in the taskbar) and use the full range of services as on the PCs in BITS (e.g. office applications) and the internet

Discussion Rooms

  • Separate Rooms for group work with up to 4 or 8 persons (depending on room size)
  • Partially equipped with SMART Boards, (physical) whiteboards or LCD television for presentations etc.
  • Monday through Friday, from 8 to 18 only for students of Bielefeld University after reservation. Reservation is not necessary / possible after 18.00 and on weekends

How about reading your textbooks in a pleasant ambience?

Cosy reading corners with armchairs invite you to relax and browse through the books. You will find the reading corners in each library section near the entrance.

In the Library Service Center you will find the Journal Reading Corner with numerous local, national and international newspapers and news magazines.
